Tanjiro Kamado became a tribute in the Hunger Games when she was 15. The Games forced her to commit crimes she would never admit she had committed to others, never would admit she had been forced to comply with the capitals sick entertainment wishes. She had watched the other tributes get torn apart and eaten and watched as they fought for food, all while she watched the demons in the arena hunt them all down.
This all changes the way she views humans, the way she views demons. The world. From a young age, she knew the world was cruel. She never knew just how cruel until she reached the age of 15.
